5 Reading Tools
When it comes to reading accessories, there are a plethora of options. In the days before e-readers and tablets, these accessories primarily consisted of bookmarks and magnifying glasses. Today, the options are wide and assorted.
Avid readers have likely encountered a few book and e-reader accessories that were total flops. For whatever reason, the design was not as functional as advertised or after a few uses the item was deemed useless. To help my fans avoid unnecessary purchases and just jump straight to the best products, here’s the Leif Erickson list of five favorite reading tools.
Doctor Victor Tesla, Ghost Town, Hero's Journey, Murder, Mystery, Nature, Novel, Whiterock
Whiterock
I received a lot of positive feedback from my last post, where I included an excerpt of my novel, ‘Hidden Trails.’ Today, by request, here is the introduction and first couple paragraphs to the first ‘Ghost Town’ novel titled: ‘The Whiterock Incident Part I – The Journal.’ This book is the first that launches a nine part series that will leave you haunted for days after reading. Enjoy the first part of the novel and head over to www.leifericksonwriting.com where you can purchase the first three books in the ‘Ghost Town’ series.

What To Write
2015 is already shaping up to be an exciting year. Only February and I have two novels at the editors, two more fully written and in the stages of being polished up, and another that’s gotten a good start. It seems like every week that goes by the notebook that I keep to write ideas for novels, short stories, songs, poems, and screenplays is getting fuller and fuller. Just in the last weekend alone I wrote out three new story ideas that could be used as standalone novels and I worked out a few key storyline points for larger works. I’m full of great ideas for writing…except when it comes to blogging.

A New Year Upon Us
As we dive into the New Year I can’t help but look back at last year as being a success for my writing. I set a goal to have six books published and up for sale in that year’s span and while four of them were up for sale, the final two were finished and if it hadn’t been for a vendor issue, they would have been published on time. Both should be on my website, www.leifericksonwriting.com sometime in early January. With six books online already, what does 2015 hold for Leif Erickson Writing?

Ghost Town
In my final blog about the ‘Ghost Town’ series, I’m going to look at the entire series and where the inspirations and motivations came from. To map out a nine-part series from beginning to end is a daunting task, trying to detail all the people who come in and out of the series, how they interact with each other, and keeping the story fresh, congruent, and interesting.
