Her mind was no longer what it was. Imara’s mother was a different person and was causing much friction within the family. Imara’s sister Sarah started growing up, and like all young teens, started testing the boundaries of what was possible. Sarah, however, pushed much further than most and started to lose herself in a fog of substance abuse. The pinnacle of past events that shook Imara’s view of her family was the night her father vanished without a trace.

Imara had spent years trying to forget all those past events, running from them, hiding from them, but when her former best friend, Anna Garst, returns with plans to solve the murder mystery of her parents, parents that were murdered on the same night that Imara’s father disappeared, Imara finds herself not only thrown into the events of her past, but the events of the future as a strange magician arrives, ready to put on the show of a lifetime, and begins to reveal that he knows something of the murder mystery of Imara’s past. As the show date gets closer, Imara finds that her past was never gone, only hidden in her mind and the strange magician will force her to confront the ghosts that haunted her past.
