A Magical Murder Mystery
A young woman gets tied up with a magician while trying to solve an old murder mystery
Imara Callan had her life going the way she wanted. Her quaint store, ‘Decades of Threads’ a specialty clothing store frequented by stage costume designers, vintage fashion lovers, and those looking to avoid mainstream fashion, was seeing more business than ever. Imara had repaired her relationship with her younger sister Sarah to the point where Imara was considering hiring her sister on to the store full time. Imara was also enjoying her favorite pastime and hobby; skateboarding. But everything for Imara changes when her former best friend, Anna Garst, arrived and thrust Imara into a murder mystery from their past that Imara had tried to forget.
One night, so many years ago, Anna’s parents were murdered in their home and Imara’s dad disappeared without a trace. No one had seen or heard from him since. Every search failed. Imara had come to terms with the fact her dad was gone but Anna couldn’t rest with her parent’s murder remaining unsolved. After the murders, Anna had left town and tried to find herself, spending years abroad; learning, training, and finding inner peace. Now that she has come to terms with the murders, Anna wants to solve them, to know why her parents died and to get Imara to help her, Anna promises to help Imara find her father as well.
At first, Imara is reluctant to get involved. She can’t see any good coming from digging up the past, but Anna’s searches uncover more layers to the crimes than Imara could have ever imaged. Interconnected events that seemed meaningless at the time are now proving that this murder mystery is far deeper than they could have known. Imara realizes, whether she wants to or not, she has to help solve this crime and discover the mystery of her father.
